Our role — how cover is provided
znobia (BLD PROTECTION LTD) is a specialist introducer for digital-asset firms. We connect clients with the FCA-authorised insurance brokers who arrange and advise on cover, and the regulated insurers and Lloyd's syndicates who underwrite it.
We do not ourselves: underwrite or carry risk; arrange or bring about contracts of insurance; give advice or personal recommendations; or hold client money. Those are regulated activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (and the Regulated Activities Order 2001) and are carried out by the FCA-authorised firms we introduce you to.
For digital-asset firms this means we help you reach the market for protected cover of digital-asset holdings — specie cover for assets in cold storage, crime cover for hot-wallet and deposit balances, and directors' & officers' liability. Where a programme protects a defined deposit or custody balance ("deposit cover"), the protected amount, triggers and limits are set out in the policy wording agreed with the carrier. The named broker and carrier(s) are disclosed to you before any cover is bound.
Regulatory status
BLD PROTECTION LTD is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on this website should be read as a representation that it is, or as a regulated communication, advice, an offer of insurance, or a financial promotion requiring authorisation. We do not state or imply FCA authorisation (FCA Handbook GEN 4.5; Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 s.24). Our role is limited to introducing you to FCA-authorised firms, who carry on the regulated activities.
The firm is finalising its regulatory model with an FCA-compliance specialist; the intended route is to operate either as an Appointed Representative of an FCA-authorised principal (FSMA 2000 s.39) or to obtain its own FCA authorisation. Where that status is in place, the prescribed disclosure and Firm Reference Number will be shown here and verifiable on the FCA's Financial Services Register (register.fca.org.uk).
Data protection
We act as a data controller. Before launch the firm registers with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and pays the data-protection fee; the ICO registration number will be shown here once issued. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data and your rights, including the right to complain to the ICO.
Complaints & compensation
- Complaints: see our Complaints Procedure.
- Financial Ombudsman Service / Financial Services Compensation Scheme: where the firm is FCA-authorised for insurance distribution, eligible customers may have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and certain claims may be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The applicable wording is finalised on confirmation of the firm's regulatory status (see Disclaimer).
Information, not legal advice — the firm's regulatory disclosures should be confirmed with qualified UK counsel before any regulated launch. © 2026 BLD PROTECTION LTD (trading as znobia).
